While boating off of Long Island, Jennifer (Jane Wyman) is thrown overboard when a mysterious submarine surfaces. A sailor appears, identifying himself as Davey Jones (Dennis Morgan) before putting her ashore and disappearing. Later on, when Jennifer explains what happened, no one believes her -- and she is so discredited that a grant she's in line for is threatened. She sets outs to find and expose the sailor, little knowing he's working on a top-secret government project.

Audience Member a sequel of sorts to 1945's 'the sailor takes a wife'. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Quite a good laugh, but I could be biased, as I've never seen Robert Douglas in a comedy before. Surprised at Jane Wyman's engaging performance, as I'm not really a fan. She was good though. One of those afternoon fillers that's good to laugh at without stretching your brain too much !!
