Rituparno Ghosh could have given [Amitabh] Bachchan the role of a lifetime in The Last Lear. But what we get is Bachchan declaiming Shakespeare, buoyed by a soundtrack which toplines thunder, lightning and rain, and spotlit by a bright beam.

Best performances by everyone, even the boiled potato look alike, Preity Zinta. Rampal surprises. Bachchan is Bachchan.. effortless dialogue delivery, clear diction, total genius. Shefali Shah should stop being stereotypical in her acting. Fab film.
