Audience Member This is one of those "Martial World" stories where a characters sets to be #1, which I always find kind of weird, although I suppose it's really no different from the oft told fastest-gun-in-the-west stories. But to this film in particular, I was not familiar with either the film's director or star, but this film had some quite good fight sequences, that I made this martial arts film well worth watching. Oh, and the story involves an injured a martial-arts expert teaching an orphan his methods. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Its the stirring fight scenes and musical cues that make this familiar story rise above the others. A young kung fu student who isn't going anywhere with his studies rescues a martial arts master from the Three Evil Masters Brigade. Learning better martial arts from his second teacher, the young man learns to defend himself, and eventually avenge his fallen master. Chen Kuan-Tai plays the good master, and has good chemistry with the younger student. The duels and humour are very spread out for a very well made martial arts movie, with a basic plot we've seen before. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
