You will watch [Buster Keaton] on shipboard, attacked by cannibals, prodded by swordfish. You will continue happily in his constituency. Go to Full Review

It is funny enough to see this indefatigable stoic as a pampered young man in a wonderful mansion, but, as might be gathered, it is even more absurd to view his actions when he and the heroine are alone aboard a drifting steamship. Go to Full Review

See more 09/07/2021 "The Navigator" is one of these films that's hard to describe because it's just so engaging and so full of life despite it's isolative setting. A sea shanty of ethereal romantic intimacy that generates a picture that leave you spinning soon after you watch it. See more william d @acsdoug 08/17/2021 Not one of Keaton's best in my opinion, but average Keaton is better than 90% of the other film comedies out there. See more Ethan S 02/22/2021 I had high expectations when I sat down to watch The Navigator, which were only partially validated; there are certainly some hilarious segments to be found here, but the story seems a little less than the sum of its parts compared to, say, The General or Our Hospitality. Still a good watch though. See more Read all reviews
