Audience Member The Nayak and the Bonandé people peoples, after a decade of genocidal conflict in an unnamed African country, have decided to start peace negotiations and reconciliation which is to begin with a celebration. However, as evening turns to night, the affair starts to get darker as stories unfold, and the path to a bloodbath seems inevitable. Intense drama that is very representational of the state of African nations hosting genocidal conflicts. This was the first feature directed by a sub-Saharan woman in history. It follows the events of a night where a rebel leader and a president of an African cuntry meet to find a road to lastingpeace. It shows the brutality of the war through graphic and violent flashbacks. The way the film explores the tense and frail peace between the groups is very interesting. While the end scene is truly shocking. Theo an awesome actor who I would like to see more of...Also recognition to Georgette Paré as the president's wife and the crew (for acting and wardrobe, makeup as well)...
