Audience Member It takes that traditional monster/revenge formula, and cheapens it up a bit. There are some fun moments and gross make-up, but the film doesn't stand out much or leave a lot to be memorable. The dialog is messy at times, and the characters are too thin, plus the ending adds nothing surprising. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member as seen from "Mystery Science Theater 3000" Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member It's like a bad British version of The Fly--Oops! Fried a guy!! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member An uninspired and silly rip-off of the 1958 version of THE FLY. It brings nothing new to the table, and is a pale imitation of the much better film it's aping. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member I have to give The Projected Man at least some credit in that it isn't an overtly 1960's movie, even though it is. What I mean is that they aren't shoving the decade in your face, along with the music, the hairstyles, the fashions, the lingo, or anything else. Some of that is in there, but you don't really think about it because they're not trying to drown you in it for a change. As for the movie itself, it just isn't very good, and is a clone of Frankenstein and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde like most, if not all, experiments-gone-wrong movies are. The crew from Mystery Science Theater 3000 did a good riff on it, but the bottom line is that it isn't very good. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Not really bad, but not great either. The MST3K for this is excellent, however.
