Hevsie x This started out promising, with the premise of the movie nicely set out - introducing the characters, the equipment, and a nice (although completely fictitious) retelling of what the real Madame LaLaurie got up to in her New Orleans mansion. And then there was some screaming, some arguing, lots of oblique camera angles... I've only just watched it, yet can't think of a single plot point that occurred more than five minutes in. If, like me, you love horror movies and are particularly fond of found footage films, then avoid this one and watch something - anything - else. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/17/23 Full Review Audience Member I could not believe this film was allowed to be shown to the public. This is just four children playing at paranormal investigators. The producers should be ashamed to have allowed this to go public. There was nothing scientific about this investigation!! Nothing!! The "psychic" was a total joke. The other young woman was worse than ridiculous. And the two guys were pathetic! One (Ryan?) acted like he was god and the other boy went around saying "I love you ghosts". Ignorant and more childish than a group of kindergarten kids at play. Save your time and money. This "film" is ludicrous and completely amateur. A group of grade schoolers would have made a better picture!! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member There are some people on the internet who believe this is a lost classic. Those people are morons. 3/10 Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Aside from the attic scene, I found the movie to be quite a bore overall. I'm a lover of found footage films, but this one missed the mark. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member one of the 1st film's that ever shit me up!! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Wants to be Blair Witch with a smaller budget, single location, lighter backstory. I didn't care for this one. I love the found-footage, semi-documentary format (Blair Witch, Paranormal Activity, etc), but that doesn't make the film, it's just the vehicle, you still have to bring credible elements and I just never bought into this one.
