12/16/2012 much better than the silent version in macabre sort of way. See more 03/31/2012 This isn't really that noteworthy of a film except for the fact that it's a remake of Tod Browning's original and Lon Chaney is in it. Other than that it's pretty forgettable. See more 09/17/2011 Although not as good as the original, I was glad to see Lon Chaney reprise his original role. See more 08/14/2011 i think i like this remake better than the original and that doesn't happen very often. good early talkie/pre-code flick See more 06/06/2011 Lon Chaney, Sr.'s first and only talking picture, and a remake of director Tod Browning's 1925 silent movie of the same name. Only slightly dated now, this movie shows what Chaney could have been if he hadn't died a couple of weeks after its release.
