Audience Member In terms of its ethnographic content and cinematography, this is a wonderful movie, but it doesn't have much of a plot to keep you interested along the way, and the acting can be pretty wooden at times. If this is the kind of film you like, check out Birds of Passage, which is by the same director and, in my opinion, much better. Accordions is not something I know a lot about, but it fascionates me as much as it fascinates the leads and their culture I guess. The story got great, long "battles" ocationally and I enjoyed them. I especially liked the one with words, yo. Still it felt slow and boring. Iwanted it to end quite often. I had seen enough, and I did not really care about the ending. The scenery is it's strongest feature, but it also got good music - or maybe impressive music is more fitting. Way to long, pretty film with few hights when it comes to other than landscape and some parts of the long battle moments.
