JL B I love the old Sci Fi B movies! Classics borderlining with Captain Proton style effects and props. Topping it off with exaggerated acting Like Shatner I don't think they had any bras in that recording studio 🤣 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/18/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a great b grade movie. Sid Haig at his best. An apocalyptic world run by a bad gang that's run by Sid who kills the men and has his ways with the ladies but there's one man who tries to stop it. I love this movie I think it's awesome. I definitely give it a B Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review delysid d not overly impressed with this aftermath. i was all set to get rid of it but then i realized that this is an official video nasty. it must be the least nasty of the bunch Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/07/19 Full Review Audience Member This movie is less a disaster movie as it is a sci-fi mash-up of many movies in the 70's with a somehow-sounding-like Star Trek soundtrack. The directing is technically poor and the storyline is as depressing as it is believable. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Sid Haig is the only thing that saves this movie from getting zero stars. If Ed Wood had directed an adaptation of "The Road" it would probably end up being something like this. Oh, and if you are wondering, there are no zombies in the movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member After a lengthy mission in space without any communication with Earth, a trio of astronauts decide to crash land back on home land, with two surviving, namely lead hero Steve Barkett (who also wrote and directed this drivel). It's not long before they realize that the apocalypse occurred on Earth and only a handful of survivors remain, which include a vicious biker gang that kill men, women, and children, and are led by the always awesome Sid Haig (Spider Baby, The Devil's Rejects) who is the ONLY good thing about this film. There are also a couple of SLIGHTLY mutated humans walking around trying to attack the good guys. No zombies whatsoever, though. Barkett eventually meets up with a museum curator (the late Forrest J. Ackerman in a potentially pedophile role) who has a young boy with him that he gives to Barkett just before he dies. The two run into the Barkett's eventual love interest, Lynne Margulies (best remembered as Andy Kaufman's girlfriend who Courtney Love played in Man on the Moon), who has hot sex with Barkett a couple of times, dies at the hands of Haig's gang, and is avenged by Barkett in a no-holds-barred all out war as Barkett magically manages to take out an entire army. Not good enough to even be so-bad-it's-good quality. It's nice to see cameos from the likes of Ackerman and Dick Miller (actually, his voice on the radio), and Sid Haig is great in this, but this movie serves as nothing more than Steve Barkett to deliver self-righteous, self-loving, D-grade post-apocalyptic trash. I couldn't wait for this schlocky shit to end! Definitely worth a watch for Sid Haig fans though but, again, don't let the bad re-titling of this movie fool you. NO ZOMBIES WHATSOEVER.
