Kim S @RT66716970 Oct 5, 2025 This is very much a character-driven movie. In my opinion, that's a good thing, but if you want action/adventure, this movie isn't for you. I'm not going to go into the plot, since that's available elsewhere. Intead, I want to mention the actress, Andrea Trepat, who plays the main character, Alexandra Baeza. Baeza is really the only character who is shown live in the setting, and I was impressed with Trepat's ability to bring me along emotionally when all the other characters she interacts with are on video or phone calls. I also appreciated that this movie took us on her existential journey along with following her using the scientific process to collect evidence that she has discovered a signal from life elsewhere in the universe. However, there were moments in the movie where it was too openly emotionally manipulative, and I wasn't entirely satisfied with how the story ended. Still, the movie held my interest and it made for a great conversation with my husband afterwards! See more Read all reviews
