Instead of cross-examining its subject, The Apprentice gives Sebastian Stan the chance to shine in a simplistic yet entertaining foray into the world of a young Trump.

Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (LAist) This very well-made movie is still constructed that are wholly and completely gossamer. Nov 4, 2024 Full Review Wendy Ide Observer (UK) It’s surprising and even a little disappointing that The Apprentice doesn’t go all in on the grotesque and extreme aspects of the Trumpian evolution. But it does show a side of the former US president that, you suspect, he would prefer not to be seen. Rated: 4/5 Oct 30, 2024 Full Review Wenlei Ma The Nightly (AU) The film is a well-paced and often entertaining story of how Trump evolved from an insecure blustery young man into a still insecure and blustery older one, but someone with a greater grasp of how to manipulate others and egomaniacally impose himself. Rated: 3/5 Oct 25, 2024 Full Review Tim Miller Cape Cod Wave Magazine Strong is the standout, playing the closeted Cohn as ... sharply intelligent but emotionally stunted, intense yet cold, ruthless yet loyal, a “straight talker” who lies without hesitation, amoral yet (to his mind) devoted to America. Rated: 3.5/4 Jul 22, 2025 Full Review Rua Fay Cinemasters I implore you to see The Apprentice as it presents an excellent opportunity to reflect on not only our country as a whole, but the characteristics our society values and whether or not that's for the best. Jul 21, 2025 Full Review Sammie Purcell Rough Draft Atlanta We’re left watching one horrible man mold another into his image, and the not-so-subtle foreshadowing to Trump’s further rise to political prominence is nothing more than a depressing easter egg hunt. JDP One of the best films of the year I’m glad this got released and didn’t get blocked from being in the theaters. This is a definite must watch, especially if you want to understand our current President for better or for worse. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/02/25 Full Review EPR Sebastian Stan embodies the personality of Donald Trump in a film that tells the story of the rise of power of the orange guy. Very entertaining and enjoyable. Its also shot so interestingly with a retro vibe to it and I enjoy that. -EPR Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/16/25 Full Review Karen G Great movie. Totally worth it.
