Instead of cross-examining its subject, The Apprentice gives Sebastian Stan the chance to shine in a simplistic yet entertaining foray into the world of a young Trump.

It’s surprising and even a little disappointing that The Apprentice doesn’t go all in on the grotesque and extreme aspects of the Trumpian evolution. But it does show a side of the former US president that, you suspect, he would prefer not to be seen. Go to Full Review

The Apprentice could have been a much stronger product that invited us to reflect on how one of the most famous and disliked men of recent years started his career, but it doesn’t quite live up to its potential. Go to Full Review

Greg T Sep 12 Man I wish this movie had gotten more attention and circulation. Too many people in this country are terrified of the monster in the castle. The thing is, this is a pretty sympathetic and balanced picture of a real human being. I guess that's what the king of America can't stand to admit, that he's not an actual superhero, he's just an ordinary human being. See more Jun 2 One of the best films of the year I’m glad this got released and didn’t get blocked from being in the theaters. This is a definite must watch, especially if you want to understand our current President for better or for worse. See more Jan 25 Sebastian Stan embodies the personality of Donald Trump in a film that tells the story of the rise of power of the orange guy. Very entertaining and enjoyable. Its also shot so interestingly with a retro vibe to it and I enjoy that. -EPR See more 12/18/2024 Great movie. Totally worth it.
