Knockdown is a straight-arrow, character-driven, dialogue-drenched drama -- and not a terribly effective one at that. And the conclusion offers a gimmicky and completely arbitrary twist that indicates that Bellanca really had no clue how to satisfactorily end this story.

Considering the fact that this is a very low budget movie, it is surprisingly good. Story is engaging and despite the fact that its pace is very slow, chances are that you'll want to see where it will lead.
