The acting is weak, the central relationship isn’t believable, and the escalation happens so quickly that nothing feels earned. Worst of all, it’s neither scary nor unnerving - I spent more time questioning the characters’ decisions than feeling any sense of dread. I won’t spoil the revelation, but it doesn’t save this contrived mess of a film. Visual effects were mediocre could have been better. But the end made it worth it for me.
