Julio Fernando Navas Cinema Ecuador This slow burn psychological horror delivers because of some solid cinematography choices and Katie Parker's magnetic screen presence. [Full review in Spanish]. Rated: 2.5/5 Nov 12, 2025 Full Review Peter Gray The AU Review The more [Angela] Gulner’s script reveals itself, the clearer it becomes that this is a far more personal, deep-rooted drama than it is any type of haunted house or villainous parent genre effort. Rated: 3.5/5 Nov 12, 2025 Full Review Gregory Nussen Screen Rant The film's affecting emotional beats easily paper over its more well-trodden territory. Rated: 7/10 Nov 7, 2025 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies The movie can wear you down as you try to collect and connect its loose pieces. But it’s worth the effort thanks to an ending that packs an emotional jolt as it’s bringing everything into focus. Rated: 3/5 Nov 6, 2025 Full Review Josh Bell Crooked Marquee Postpartum horror has become a familiar subgenre, and writer-director Angela Gulner offers a basic but dependable take on the formula, right until an infuriating final twist. Rated: C+ Nov 4, 2025 Full Review DarkSkyLady DarkSkyLady Reviews The Beldham squeezes a tragic, haunting story through acting with occasional scares and loads of discomfort. MK K An excellent feature debut! From the tight script and grounded performances to the beautiful framing and unique "monster" design, there's so much to love about THE BELDHAM. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/14/25 Full Review Marlane B Quiet, creepy, touching, and surprising, this indie film has jump scares, body horror, AND good dialogue. There is a play-like/theatrical quality to it, like copies of Chekhov and Ibsen are somewhere in the attic. Stunning performances by Katie Parker (Haunting of Hill House) and Patricia Heaton (Everybody Loves Raymond) make this film about women, motherhood, aging, and loss one to watch! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/12/25 Full Review Mark S If you love your mother, you'll watch this. :) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/11/25 Full Review Sarah F One of my favorite films I’ve seen this year. Still thinking about that twist at the end. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/11/25 Full Review Alexandra H Slow paced at first but the final twist knocked the air out of me. Great performances and direction. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/11/25 Full Review Alex H I got to see The Beldham at Austin Film Festival last year when it premiered there and I am extremely glad I did. It's a true indie film in the best ways, subverting industry expectations at every turn all while looking genuinely stunning (and creepy AF) from start to finish. What's most refreshing about it though, is that it it's more than just a jump-scare horror film. It's got the scares and the gore and such (don't get me wrong) but underneath all that is a moving story about generational trauma and grief that will connect with most folks who sit down to give it a watch. Highly recommend for fans of elevated horror! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/10/25 Full Review Read all reviews
