The Bibi Files is an urgent journalistic exposé based on unseen leaked footage of police interrogations of the politician as well as his wife Sara and son Yair. The film explores the corruption cases that resulted in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's indictment on breach of trust, bribery, and fraud in 2019. Many Israelis believe that Netanyahu's attempts to delay his trial are key to understanding his current policies regarding war and the return of Israeli hostages.

Mark Kermode Kermode and Mayo's Take (YouTube) It's never polemical... it just lays out the evidence, which I have to say, is pretty damning. Jan 13, 2025 Full Review Jonathan Romney Financial Times Alexis Bloom’s riveting film — whose producers include prolific documentarist Alex Gibney — is built around leaked footage of Netanyahu, his family and associates testifying to police. Rated: 4/5 Dec 23, 2024 Full Review Wendy Ide Observer (UK) Essential viewing. Rated: 4/5 Dec 16, 2024 Full Review Robert Roten Laramie Movie Scope This is not an easy movie to sit through. A lot of it seems repetitive and static. It is, however, a valuable documentary for those who want to understand Israel's government and the fighting in the Middle East. Rated: B Jan 16, 2025 Full Review Cody Dericks Next Best Picture Netanyahu is a corruptible force for evil, but this film would have you believe that he’s a mere aberration in a nation’s history rather than the logical result of its misdeeds and violent actions. Rated: 4/10 Jan 9, 2025 Full Review Joseph Fahim Middle East Eye The Bibi Files is not just an expertly made investigation of Israel's most notorious head of state: it’s a Macbeth-like fable of a man punch-drunk on blind ambition; a penetrating study of a man corrupted and empowered by his violent addiction to power. Simon T A savage take-down of Benjamin Netanyahu's corrupt and cruel premiership, featuring many Israeli former associates who now lead the charges against him. But it is a 20 year-old Jewish girl, caught up in the October 7th massacre, when her kibbutz was attacked and so many of her friends murdered, who proves the most eloquent critic, quietly dismantling Netanyahu's self-serving rhetoric. An excellent and chilling documentary, co-produced by Alex Gibney. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/16/25 Full Review Lee R The film does an outstanding job at building the case against one of the most despised war criminals in our modern times. Pay no attention to the hasbara bots review-bombing this film much like the genocidal Netanyahu led Israeli government gleefully does to innocent Palestinians...it's well-made and deserving of viewership. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review Cathy S Poor journalism. The movie did not give a balanced account. In some parts it was misleading to English speakers by choosing what to translate during interrogations. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/02/25 Full Review Read all reviews
