Ygraine Hackett-Cantabrana Moving Pictures Film Club The Black Mass is a brutal and uncomfortable watch, yet serves as a stark reminder that Ted Bundy was an evil killer who deserves no glorification or glamorisation. Rated: 3/5 Jul 9, 2024 Full Review Michael Talbot-Haynes Film Threat Check this out if the regular crowd of masked maniacs doesn’t cut it for you. Rated: 7.5/10 Apr 24, 2024 Full Review Kat Hughes THN The audience is made to spend a day in the presence of a renowned serial killer in Devanny Pinn’s cold and confrontational take on one of history’s most notorious men. Rated: 3/5 Mar 30, 2024 Full Review Joel Harley Starburst If its big ‘reveal’ leaves an unfortunate taste in the mouth, then that’s because, up until then, The Black Mass felt better than that. An atypical true crime biopic; heartfelt, angry, and uninterested in using its killer’s name for cheap shock value. Rated: 4/5 Oct 30, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Julie R Very slow, annoying cinematography and very poor acting. Give it a miss. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/13/24 Full Review Stuart B Devanny Pinn has crafted a genuinely creepy, tense, pot boiler of a film which also looks and feels like you are in 1978. With the use of old style transitions, and a great period musical soundtrack by Fernando Perdomo it helps the audience stay grounded in the late 70s and delivers a film that is different to most films in this true crime genre and it works all the better for it. If i describe the film as slow burn, then some might take that as a negative, and its certainly not. What Devanny Pinn does is build up the pressure, and the atmosphere Recommended movie! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/08/24 Full Review michael k Terrible acting, very low budget. Too cringy to even finish. Made it about 20 minutes in before my wife and I turned it off.
