Critics Consensus

Enthusiastically unpleasant and mostly unfunny, The Bronze fails to stick the landing -- or much else along the way.

The Bronze is an uninspired creation that feels like Tina Fey's Sarah Palin impression in a 'Little Britain' sketch. Go to Full Review

There are some decent laughs here (especially for a well choreographed sex scene) and even an amusing soundtrack, but there's just not enough story to go around. Go to Full Review

Sep 11 It's like a simple Hallmark movie for a Sunday afternoon, except you probably wouldn't want to watch it with your grandma over Sunday brunch (due to vulgar language and other sexual content). I'm surprised Sebastian Stan took a role in this movie after his Marvel success - he plays a token handsome bad guy (it's not a spoiler -trust me). The movie's biggest fault is the main character that is totally unlikable and pretty much a caricature. See more Tara H. @tarahowell Jul 30 Weird and kind of goofy. Overall not a bad watch, but not super great either. I was surprised by the ending and I think it wrapped the movie well. See more Apr 17 Weird the low score. It's a fun a interesting movie if you don't expect anything and don't have a stick up your ass. The protagonist is Ego Maniacal, Spoiled to a level unfathomable, and basically a ahole. The jokes are ok but they wear thin fairly quickly and the story devolves into your typical bad person becomes better redemption story. It's probably worth keeping in your collection, like Shallow Hal would be. Something you might dust off every decade and watch but it's not going to win over any hearts. See more Jason R 11/13/2024 The Bronze is a misunderstood gem. Riding some Napoleon Dynamite vibes, Rauch is a real charmer. Yes, the character is obnoxiously abrasive at first -- maybe somewhat over the top -- but her various hard edges gradually soften, as the other characters work their own subtle magic on her. Great cast. Enjoyable movie. Sad it got so much hate and derision. See more Skyler S 10/27/2024 This movie is halarious. You'll laugh and be shocked and feel hopeful. Don't trust rotten tomatoes, this movie is great. See more georgan g 12/09/2022 The hero was so mean that I was ready to turn it off. However, was good watching how a small town girl learns what's really important. Note, it is not a being a medal winner. See more Read all reviews
