It all becomes ridiculous, despite an appearance from the excellent Lorna Raver, the malevolent gypsy woman from Drag Me To Hell. Go to Full Review

Over-stylized and narratively undercooked, The Caller treats its Twilight Zone-style conceit for dim thrills. Go to Full Review

It's beautifully shot and it doesn't dumb down the audience. Go to Full Review

The Caller delivers tons of thrills, chills, twists, and turns. It may not be perfect, but it's damned effective. Go to Full Review

Director Matthew Parkhill seems perfectly suited for a career in any industry except filmmaking, and there's not a single beat of this film that I would describe as 'competent' or 'well-executed.' That's almost impressive. Go to Full Review

Farah R @Farah 12/06/2024 Despite verging on incredulous, The Caller's gripping premise had me glued to my seat until the last minute. The story became more interesting with every twist, and the ending knocked it out of the park. It's not the best in terms of production quality, but it's definitely worth watching. See more Mica L @Micaa_Lo 08/18/2024 Quite interesting concept with this one. Even though there's this horror cliché of receiving creepy calls from an unknown person or entity, this film still felt somewhat fresh. However, a lot of strange things unfolds and they are never properly explained. Although you can understand what is going on, it does not necessarily make sense. It is very likely this film will leave you with questions you won't get answered, but if you are okay with that kind of thing then you might still enjoy it. I was personally entertained enough, but will probably not watch it again. See more Ian W 02/27/2023 Not for the first time... a horror story with an initially interesting premise. Sadly this story got totally lost after about 20 minutes. The incomprehensible 'plot' was brushed over in a 2 minute 'let's explain the time-shifting plot' scene. It's like someone says to you, look it's really simple' and they then try to explain something that they clearly don't understand themselves. Are they 'real'? Are they ghosts? Does anyone care? The end was dumb and unbelievable, like most of the film. So it gets 3/10 for the concept. Avoid. See more Mike M 02/19/2023 Dull, flat and uninsprired. See more 06/11/2019 thoroughly creepy but confusing. one has to suspend disbelief and just go with it in order to enjoy the movie. See more 09/18/2016 Great movie scary and haunting with a good story. See more Read all reviews
