Juan Pablo Russo EscribiendoCine Despite its predictability, the film offers effective entertainment, with moments of tension and redemption that, although superficial, are attractive enough to keep the viewer interested. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 6/10 Jul 17, 2024 Full Review John Serba Decider Two-thirds of The Champion is solid, reasonably thoughtful entertainment, and the other third is dreck. That’s a passing grade even though the movie D-minused the final. Jul 15, 2024 Full Review Jonathon Wilson Ready Steady Cut The Champion isn’t a very good movie, but it’s a well-intentioned and likable one so I’d feel bad making fun of it. Rated: 2.5/5 Jul 12, 2024 Full Review Charles Hartford But Why Tho? A Geek Community The Champion manages to meld the many personalities and stories they bring with them into a powerful narrative. Rated: 9/10 Jul 12, 2024 Full Review Archi Sengupta LeisureByte.com The Champion is a very generic drama with some emotions that ultimately become thoroughly predictable. Rated: 2.5/5 Jul 12, 2024 Full Review Andrés Salas Cinemanía (Spain) It won't become a classic of football cinema, but it will be a good option to pass the time. A Whoever wrote this needs to be in jail. A decent idea that never takes off due to horrific writing and cartoonish unidimensional characters. A shame really but exactly what you would expect from a Netflix movie Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/25/24 Full Review Michael H The film was ok but spoilt by the ending which left the story untild I like a film to entertain with good story acting and hopefully resolved ending so for me it was very poor film Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/19/24 Full Review Helen L A good watch….entertaining, a little bit predictable in parts and I’m hoping for a sequel from the way it ended. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/18/24 Full Review Jessica S Will there be a second part to this? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/16/24 Full Review Read all reviews
