Synopsis
British soldier Tony Pym (David Tomlinson) returns home to marry wealthy American June Farrell (Helen Backlin). Urged on by his aristocratic but impoverished father, Lord Lister (A.E. Matthews), Tony attempts to become the latest family member elected to Parliament. He decides to run for office as a socialist -- and soon faces unexpected competition from the family butler, Benajmin Beecham (Cecil Parker), who announces his intention to campaign as the conservative Tory candidate.
