Barbara Shulgasser Common Sense Media For TV holiday movie fans, "The Christmas Contract" is a typical specimen of this staple—it checks all the boxes. Rated: 3/5 Oct 26, 2025 Full Review Esme Mazzeo Tell-Tale TV It delivers the romance and happiness we are allowed to expect from this genre, without too much of the extra cheese or Santa that can sometimes be off-putting to a Grinch like me. Jilaine S We all know what this movie is, going into it. It’s not the latest Christopher Nolan. It’s not Nora Ephron. It’s a cheesy holiday movie and it lives up to ALL of its hype. The film touches on nostalgia, family, typical tradition and 2 people falling in love over Christmas. Isn’t that why you put it on to begin with? Sure, the conflict is predictable and silly but easily and quickly resolved. The story is adorable and endearing with a happy ending we all expect from a ‘hallmark-Ed Que’ holiday flick. Put this on while you cook dinner or decorate your house. You won’t regret it and even if you find it ‘cringe’ you will smile in spite of yourself. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/18/25 Full Review Michael B. More forced globalist whyte dilution from shiteflix. Cheesy, hoaky, and utterly run-of-the-mill. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/16/25 Full Review Kalissa H. So cheesy. Almost not able to finish it. Holiday Engagement is way better. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/15/25 Full Review Saysha R How many girls take a veritable stranger masquerading as their boyfriend home for Christmas? Does this happen a lot? The new love interest is cute, but basically a cardboard cutout. Her ex isn’t that much of a draw--he doesn't even know her tea preference for heavens sake. I needed a scene in a fishing boat on the bayou where the fakers actually get to know each other. I liked Jolie's character, the setting, the family relationships and game night. The acting was decent. I've missed you since Charlie's Angel's, Cheryl Ladd! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/12/25 Full Review Audience Member Wow, for one it's like OTH mimi reunion and IT'S AMAZING seeing all those familiar faces all together again. second, it's really sweet movie, y'all! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Not the worst-written or acted Christmas TV movie of the last decade or so, but so formulaic we were finishing the actors' sentences with them. With this genre, I prefer something that flops hard at mediocrity, for maximum fun-poking. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews
