I thought it was a good story overall and worth watching as it was a little different from the usual Santa stories, but some parts of it didn't flow well. I look forward to watching the sequel which is due out in 2022

I don't even know where to start with how awful The Claus Family (2020) is really. Santa Claus just wears a literal red winter coat with a bit of a beard. The elves are just regular looking people poorly CGI'd and put into a tiny perspective shot. The jokes are never funny and there's barely any heartwarming feeling. It's very predictable and absurd with an obnoxious corporate worker sub-text that's really gross. I was so bored and annoyed by The Claus Family. I cannot believe they had like 5 little sets for this trash movie. You can tell it is low budget alright. The cast is so unlikable and not charismatic. They all act like they're in a Dutch soap opera. At least the music is rather nice and understated, but it could have used a real writer. Another Christmas film with a dead father and an angsty teenager who hates Christmas, then must learn to love the holidays and be nice to his mom, huh?
