Carla Hay Culture Mix It's a mediocre horror flick with a lot of bloody action, and it's the kind of film where it's easy to know how everything's going to end even before the movie starts. Sep 5, 2020 Full Review Mark H. Harris Black Horror Movies McIntyre is adept at delivering the goods in the action scenes, rendered in intense fashion by first-time director David Matalon. Rated: 3/5 Jun 22, 2020 Full Review Matt Donato Flickering Myth The Clearing is a contained "infected" flick that suffers from its lack of world-building; a case of what is never cinematically acknowledged somehow becoming more interesting than the presented horrors at hand. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/24/24 Full Review KURT G Another stupid zombie movie where some idiot all of a sudden turns into Jean Claude Van Dam. Don't bother. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/18/24 Full Review Audience Member The people who wrote and directed this mess never watched a Zombie movie or talked to anyone who did. I would say watch it and see for yourself but I would not want to put you through the agony. Move on to your next choice. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review kelly f A lot of the protagonist's decisions make no sense so it's hard to get behind him. Then again, there are some gaping holes in the sequences, annoying jiggly camera work and too close close-ups which may obscure some of what's happening and why. Either way the result is the same: a lot of sequences you are left scratching your head wondering how? Why? or What just happened? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Too many reviews fluff this movie up. While the actors honestly did an awesome job, they didn't have much to work with. An unlikable and cowardly father abandons his 10 year old child during a "zombie" apocalypse and hopes she survives while he holes up in his camper. Little dialog, unbelievable "action", and weak screenplay. Bad all around Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
