jerry r The writing on this movie was weak and predictable. I felt the movie was too religious. This is an excellent story that was turned it into a religious movie rather than telling the love story that it truly is. Great Story, which Hallmark's writers totally mess up. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/13/25 Full Review John P She just lost her husband to cancer. She has two small boys. He lost his wife suddenly to brain cancer. He has two boys and a girl. Both are grieving. The movie starts out very very sad. Then begin the trials and tribulations of being a single parents. They, together, go through “the things mom do, the things dad's do.” Then they have to navigate the first date and how they say good night. THEN THEY HIT THE BUMPS IN THE ROAD. (Other people’s opinions.) And it's a Hallmark movie so there's gotta be a breakup before they make up. Writers, actors, and the director really helped the audience feel the entire “spectrum” of emotions during the whole movie Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/10/24 Full Review Audience Member At first it was hard to watch this movie and the ending still makes me cry. I lost my husband in January of 2019, and normally a movie involving the death of a spouse would really bother me. However, this one is incredibly well written and the acting is amazing. I've always loved Lacy Chabert and I can't imagine anyone else in the role of Gina. As for Warren Christie (who plays Michael), I loved him in the 2008 Hallmark movie "The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year" and only recently realized that he was in that movie as well. I also didn't realize that "The Color of Rain" first aired back in 2014, because it's such a timeless and relevant movie. It has a lot of sadness but also humor and it blends the two so realistically. They did a wonderful job of portraying grieving adults because I could relate to some of the things that they had to deal with. I highly recommend this to everyone. Even though the basic premise is sadness, there's a lot of happiness in it too. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member It was a great Sunday movie. Good acting based on true story. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review steve d slow and sometimes depressing. It never quite came together for me. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Above average Hallmark movie. Very touching and emotional. Even better that it's based on a true story.
