      The Commuter

      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

The Commuter's cast is better than its workmanlike script - which helps make this reasonably diverting Liam Neeson action thriller worth the price of a matinee ticket or rental, if not a full-price ticket.

Timothy D Very predictable. A low rent "Taken" on a train. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/28/24 Full Review Chuck M The ending was a little too farfetched but otherwise the movie was better than i expected it to be. Held my attention for sure and liam neison was excellent Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/25/24 Full Review Carlos T Filme: O Passageiro Assistido: 21-11-23 Elenco: @neeson_liam @liamnes4 @verafarmiga @thereelpatrickwilson @samneiltheprop @elizabeth.mcgov @florencepugh @claralago1 Modelo: #ação #policial #action Duração: 1h 44m Ano: 2018 Minha opinião: Filmes de trem, sempre tem uma boa produção uma boa obra. Um dos mais famosos esta "Assassinato no Expresso Oriente", A Força em Alerta, Metro 123, A Garota do Trem, Expresso para o Inferno, A Travessia de Cassandra, Expresso do Amanhã,... Desde suspense, Ficção, drama, policial, suspense e fantasia. Vale apena assistir? Com certeza. Nota: 8,75 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/24 Full Review Dinos K Liam Neeson's character is always "I'm too old for this sh*t but I'm the right guy in right place and I have to do it". That is the plot in every single movie of his own Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/19/24 Full Review Alec B The ending is inevitably disappointing but there's fun to be had in this goofy little thriller. I think the scrappier they make Neeson in these kinds of movies the better they are. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/05/24 Full Review Mary Ann F Oh, come on, you guys! This movie was great! I dare say it is one of the better Liam Nelson action flicks. To those of you saying the action or story is too over the top, are you serious? Which of these action movies is EVER fully logical? That's why they're so much fun. Yeah, the plot is bonkers, but it actually all links together and there's never a dull moment. It's totally fun and it had me guessing until the end. Forget the naysayers and just grab the popcorn and have a good time. :) ☺️ Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/04/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Andrea Gronvall Chicago Reader The film is hobbled by sloppy camera work, ludicrous fight scenes, hairbreadth escapes, and altogether too many suspects. Mar 10, 2020 Full Review Mark Kermode Kermode & Mayo's Film Review The whole big thing is, 'Here's the setup, here's the rules.' And then literally 20, 25 minutes in, the film goes, 'I can't be bothered with that.' Aug 28, 2018 Full Review Kambole Campbell One Room With A View An enjoyable, pulpy thrill ride that rises above the usual gamut of throwaway early year thriller releases, The Commuter is made all the more interesting by exciting, creative work behind the camera from Collet-Serra. Rated: 3/5 Aug 25, 2018 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies You know what to expect – a fast pace, good action, that Neeson growl, and some amusing corniness. Rated: 3/5 Aug 19, 2022 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review If the film is mostly disposable and too familiar, the initial face-to-face encounter between Neeson and Farmiga proves that talented actors can make lousy writing sound better. But that single moment is hardly enough to justify the rest. Rated: 1/4 Mar 16, 2022 Full Review Bill Chambers Film Freak Central If I wish that Neeson had an opportunity to show more gravitas in the throes of his sweaty unravelling, I recognize this is partly my disappointment that we didn't get his Unforgiven before he put this side of himself out to pasture.
