Brian Tallerico RogerEbert.com There’s an impressive economy to “The Conference” in how Eklund doesn’t waste time on speeches or slow burn his way to tension. Rated: 3/4 Oct 13, 2023 Full Review Ian Bunting Daily Record (UK) Swedish horror-comedy The Conference balances the two genres extremely well. Jan 4, 2024 Full Review Austin Burke Austin Burke/Flick Fan Nation While the conference takes far too long to reach what viewers are waiting for, the payoff is ultimately worth it. There are some wild kills, interesting transitions, and solid comedic moments. Rated: 6/10 Nov 10, 2023 Full Review Cheryl Eddy io9.com Props to director Patrik Eklund and writer Thomas Moldestad, who more than earn the right to transform "teamwork makes the dream work." Nov 3, 2023 Full Review Jose Solís Common Sense Media We get it. Capitalism and corporate greed are terrifying. Robbie E The Conference is a Swedish film, but if you can handle mediocre dubbing, and half a good cast, the blood, sweat, and tears will keep you watching till the end. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/12/24 Full Review Ace T It was good. I think most of the characters were well thought out however, some of the deaths were excessive.I like that the film doesn't just tell you what's going on. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/26/24 Full Review Julian S In Swedish with English dubbing, “The Conference” is a fun, goofy slasher that strikes the perfect balance between light and dark. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/25/24 Full Review Audience Member Gruesome and gory in all the right places but not quite as overdone as I expected. There are some truly unsettling scenes in this slasher that made me shiver, as well as some inspiring moments of heroism that made me cheer. I loved the direction and many of the cuts made me laugh in amusement. The Conference was much more enjoyable than I anticipated. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/09/24 Full Review Audience Member I like this movie, the truth is that it was very good, it gave me feelings of terror and the deaths are the best part of the movie, that's why it makes it a slasher and horror movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/08/24 Full Review Fake N The plot of the film was boring and the characters weren't interesting to me. The kills in this film weren't the greatest either.
