Amy Curtis We Got This Covered This "cabin-in-the-woods" horror pic gets off to a good start with subtle chills and a fresh concept, but ultimately suffers from a weak, overly vague ending. Rated: 6/10 Jan 16, 2013 Full Review Simon Foster Screen-Space Debutant director Evan Kelly perhaps shows a little too much confidence in Josh McDonald's wordy script and the young cast's ability to pull off a dialogue-heavy set-up, but his handling of cabin-in-the-woods paranoia and its icky outcome is top notch. May 6, 2012 Full Review Dustin Putman TheFilmFile.com It seems like half of genre pics these days begin with a cabin in the woods. As such, "The Corridor" is alternately offbeat and derivative, reminiscent of a "Twilight Zone" episode without a satisfying payoff. Rated: 2/4 Mar 31, 2012 Full Review Scott Weinberg FEARnet Not all "five guys in a cabin" thrillers are created equally. Rated: 4/5 Sep 5, 2011 Full Review Read all reviews

Danger H I enjoyed this movie overall but I like movies that have a moral which I don'tthink was the case here. As humans we are social animals. However, it was a great analogy of how social media (the corridor) has proliferated our lives to the negative when we all want to be 'connected'. We feel the need to bond but some things are better left unsaid and opening life'sold wounds, or someone elses for the world to see has consequences. To know everything about everyone is a slippery slope. Dicretion has it's place. We may love our friends but we all have our quirks and certain traits we don't like but we accept them as they are. If I had created this movie the opening scene would been a smartass character beginning to watch the movie after they finished posting a nasty secret on social media about about one of their friends then, starting this movie on TV. The movie plays and the laptop is destroyed, stopping with the last scene when Chris walks off into the snow. The movie watcher's doorbell rings and the person they dissed online at the beginning shoots them after saying 'You shouldn't have posted that about me'. This would have stressed the fact that being totally interconnected has a downside and the things you do online can truly damage. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/06/23 Full Review Audience Member I don't even know what I just watched. There are barely any tiny fragments of a story. It starts off decent, but the longer you get into it, the worse it gets. The ending explains nothing. BOO. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member The Corridor was an interesting, thought provoking, and unsettling watch. For being a first film Evan Kelly did a great job directing this. He keeps the film moving at an engaging pace, and keeps the tension mounting. I do feel like it falls apart a bit in the third act but that's not really his fault. That brings me to the script, which has a surprising amount of character development and depth in it. The first and second act build the characters extremely well, which makes it all the more disappointing when the film turns into a gory horror film without a real conclusion by the end. The actors who are basically all no names, do a great job making each character feel unique and alive. They make their feelings and struggles feel real and relatable, drawing the viewer in very well. Last and sadly least are the effects. First I'll start positive, The blood and gore effects were practical and looked great. The special effects for the corridor itself also looked fine in the beginning because they used it sparingly. Which now brings me to the bad, as the film goes on and the corridor expands, it ends up looking incredibly bad and distracting, also one of the characters has an extremely obvious bald cap that made them look laughable, and made it hard to take them seriously at times. Overall though The Corridor is an atmospheric, tense, and character driven sci-Fi/horror/drama that kept me engaged up until the last 20-30 minutes. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member I had no expectation for this movie. It came in a horror triple set for £3. At £1 per movie your expectations can only be low. As it turned out, it was better produced and better acted than i'd expected. It's got some surreal moments and some gut wrenching gore. Certain scenes have stuck in my head and whilst the explanation for what's happening is not really forthcoming ultimately it doesn't matter, because what's they've made is an entertaining movie. If you like horror and you like horror that tries to think outside the box then you could do a lot worse with 90 minutes of your time. Recommend Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member The corridor begins with great character development, then makes a deliciously horrifying turn but ends with a terrible CGI filled ending. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I liked the mystery of The Corridor itself, great unknown mystique established to keep you guessing till the end.
