It starts like any other but then takes a crazy turn. This girl reminded me of my high school gf, crazy and constantly seeking attention. I felt the documentary was taking a deeper dive into teenage psyche and it’s terrifying. I will watch again and maybe even again. But there really needs to be a different name for these kinds of "true crime documentaries," because they are low-effort, cash-grabbing, sensationalized non-fiction movies. They are just ok. This non-fiction movie is just ok. Despite having the family members of those who lost their loved ones, the film is exploitative and lacks substance. I am begging anyone who considers this to be one of their favorite documentaries to please watch literally any other documentary not in the true crime genre. But the reason why I sat down and watched this one is be because I legit saw a YouTube video on this case months before this released from the channel Dr. Insanity (Shoutout to Dr. Insanity and to those of you who has never heard of his channel before, I’d recommend you check out his videos) anyways I watched this because I thought it dig REALLY deep into the case and see what differences were there compared to the doc and the YouTube video and my god..they left out SO MUCH information. Like a lot. One of the things this doc didn’t mention at all was that the girl was actually PRACTICING the route that crash took place at SEVEN TIMES! She was trying to practice how the crash will happen. Also, they didn’t even mention that that kid in the red jacket was actually her ex. I could list everything else this doc left out but they left out so much that I would just recommend watching the YouTube video for more detail.
