Meagan Navarro Bloody Disgusting The story isn’t wholly original or even new, but it delivers on what it promises. It’s difficult not to be charmed by a cute family-friendly Halloween movie that instills the importance of Halloween while embracing it on a massive scale. Rated: 3/5 Oct 14, 2022 Full Review Christian Zilko indieWire Jeff Wadlow’s film is competent enough to serve as relatively harmless background noise while kids sort candy after a night of trick-or-treating. Rated: C- Oct 14, 2022 Full Review Noel Murray Los Angeles Times Despite a clever premise, decent special effects and an amiable tone, the horror-comedy “The Curse of Bridge Hollow” never makes the jump from “mildly pleasant time-killer” to “entertaining.” Oct 14, 2022 Full Review Jeffrey M. Anderson Combustible Celluloid This sweet, silly, tween-friendly Halloween movie has a lot of the expected broad humor and slapstick, but it has a strong center in Marlon Wayans and Priah Ferguson. Rated: 3/4 Nov 15, 2022 Full Review Aaron Neuwirth We Live Entertainment It’s an empty attempt to deliver something silly and fun but forgets to have those key ingredients. Rated: 4/10 Oct 29, 2022 Full Review Matt Conway Battle Royale With Cheese In the vein of playful romps like Halloweentown, the film provides a cheerful dose of earnest, family-friendly entertainment. Wendy B This movie started out pretty good and I was looking forward to a fun night. And then it got ridiculously stupid. Is all these monsters coming to life and chasing people and it just went on and on and on. I really don’t believe this is very good for little kids because it is pretty violent. I finally turned it off after 15 minutes of chasing monsters. It got really boring. There was no story. And they tried to put a little comedy in, which was stupid too. Not recommended. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/02/24 Full Review Ed R Decent film for the family. Not too spooky. Similar to Hubie Halloween. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/25/24 Full Review matthias s *The Curse of Bridge Hollow* is a decent, if generic, Halloween family film that delivers just enough fun for a lighthearted watch. Having enjoyed Marlon Wayans in *White Chicks* and *Scary Movie*, I was curious to see him in this. While the film doesn’t capture the same charm as those earlier works, it’s still entertaining enough for a spooky movie marathon. The special effects are solid, and the acting is passable, but nothing particularly standout. Some of the jokes hit the mark, but others fall flat, adding to the overall mediocrity of the film. It's all very predictable, but I didn’t mind much—I had fun watching it. If it had been geared more toward an adult audience, it probably would have been better, but for a family-friendly Halloween film, it's enjoyable enough. Perfect for a casual watch, but not one that will stick with you. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/16/24 Full Review Alden H The acting was pretty bad. The story was boring. I can see kids liking it but showing up in the horror section of Netflix was ridiculous. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/24/24 Full Review Winifred C After watching 13 minutes of it, I decided not to watch any more of it. It’s boring and modern, and most definitely suited for younger children. I decided to give it ago because I’m all into spooky stuff, but I find it unrealistic and it did not live up to my expectations. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/14/24 Full Review Lloyd S Marion Wayans is a guarantee for a any good movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/10/24 Full Review Read all reviews
