Jenny A The perfect campy horror flick!! Spooky yet still a little corny, with good comedy moments and Dominique Provost-Chalkey!! She's so perfect and I love that she isn't a passive female-victim character (not that she would ever agree to play a role like that). She gets to kick some ass. I can't say more without giving spoilers, but if you are a fan of classic campy horror that is medium-ish on gore, but high on suspense, with some laughs and a satisfying ending, you'll love this. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/02/19 Full Review Darla P I'm not sure how this movie has a score of 63% because this is possibly the worst movie I've seen this year so far. It's if you enjoy B horrors, then don't watch this one. It's more like a D horror. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/09/23 Full Review Kim Y It was a good watch. I recommend watching it Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/31/22 Full Review Audience Member Good acting, a magnetic male ingenue star turn and interwoven stories that seem to be building toward something instead just crashed into a big wreck at the end. The storyline ultimately made no sense and the ending seemed to serve no purpose but to set up for a sequel that won't happen. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a religious movie hidden behind the veil of horror. The underlying message is that Christians are being persecuted. I did enjoy the campiness of the movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member I've actually watched low-budget films that I've enjoyed. This one, though... it just felt like nothing was earned. The story kept jumping rather abruptly, and I never formed any emotional connection to any of the characters. Noel Murray Los Angeles Times Holmes' best idea is to stage some of the flashbacks and dream sequences so they ape the look of the films he's copying - though that ultimately may make horror buffs wish they were rewatching the originals. Sep 27, 2019 Full Review Stephanie Malone Morbidly Beautiful Puts a clever new spin on urban legends while paying loving homage to midnight horror Rated: 4/5 Aug 25, 2020 Full Review Emilie Black Cinema Crazed It's a simple film with not a ton going on but the mystery and how it is developed work for it. I Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 12, 2020 Full Review JimmyO JoBlo's Movie Network If you are going to be cursed by something, THE CURSE OF BUCKOUT ROAD will likely put a smile on your genre loving face. Rated: 7/10 Dec 20, 2019 Full Review Sarah Cartland Caution Spoilers An uneven horror thriller, but if you can get past the (probably budget-related) clunky elements, there's a lot of fun to be had - especially from twins Derek 'n' Erik, who are a hoot. Rated: 3/5 Oct 30, 2019 Full Review Mark H. Harris Black Horror Movies As it stands, none of the four tales stands out. The creepy, hunched-over "woman in white" character design is striking and worthy of taking center stage as the featured villain, but she's afforded little screen time.
