Anton Bitel Little White Lies writer/director/producer/actor JR Bookwalter's feature debut... is no less a labour of love than it is in love with its own generic antecedents. Jul 25, 2016 Full Review Read all reviews

Steve D Cheap and funny for the wrong reasons. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/04/23 Full Review justin t Admittedly the production quality is pretty low. The actors look very amateur, they barely even look like they are trying most of the time. There are plenty of violent effects shot on what looked like a VHS camera. Tacky from beginning to end but joyful to see low budget filmmaking produce something, even if it is a cheap something. It's just about entertaining enough to make it not a complete waste of time if you don't mind amateur filmmaking. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Years ago, a friend of mine in high school told me about some zombie movie that his dad had been in briefly. It was a movie made in our hometown, with Akron landmarks easily identified...I've long been curious to see the movie. Luckily a coworker just got the remastered version of this film on blu-ray, and I had my chance to see it! It isn't a brilliant piece of cinema, but as a cheapo zombie movie? It is kind of fun. The fact that I grew up within walking distance of some of the shooting locations elevated it for me. Zombie fans may find something cheap and fun...others need not apply. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member While the editing and pacing were very annoying, The Dead Next Door is quite a good story. We have the Zombie Squad hunting down zombies, but also trying to find a cure. We have a religious cult doing whatever a cult does other than keeping zombies and feeding their dead to them. Almost every character is named after a famous horror director/writer/special effects person which is a nice touch. There are some really cool moments in this, and is worth seeing, but be patient as it has terrible pacing. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Think Ghostbuster with zombies but in a low budget amateur film. Cheesy? Yes but its an 80's flick with some good gore. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member A cute effort, but far too cheesy. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Read all reviews
