In 1968, Michael (Robert De Niro), Nick (Christopher Walken) and Steven (John Savage), lifelong friends from a working-class Pennsylvania steel town, prepare to ship out overseas following Steven's elaborate wedding and one final group hunting trip. Not my favorite kind of movie but I can appreciate it for what it is. Some of the scenes are beautiful and haunting, it's well acted and it's a movie that has something to say without trying too hard or beating you over the head with the message. It isn't for everyone but can certainly be appreciated by most.
