Brad P There are plenty of unexpected turns of twisted tension courtesy of a backwoods blood feud, a crazy "back to the ether" hippie cult, a mysterious fluid and creepy recipe tips, there is plenty of what the fuckery to go around. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/28/23 Full Review Audience Member 3 stars because the acting was good. But because the movie explained absolutely nothing about the “Creed” and the history of the families and their codes. I can’t give it anything higher. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Andy B A tight, gritty little revenge thriller with great acting. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review dan b Great show I loved it Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review stefanie g Danielle Deadwyler deserves an Oscar at the least for her performance. The movie is really good, but she really makes it better. Which is why it is so confusing that when you are scrolling on Netflix for movies, when this one comes up the picture is of an actress who has like 3 scenes in the movie, where Danielle is in every scene, and the entire movie is about her. Danielle is black. The actress Netflix shows as the advertisement for this movie is white. What is up with that, Netflix? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Juniper I want the music! I almost didn't watch it but I'm so glad I did. Danielle Deadwyle is amazing! The little boy Ezra Haslam- what an excellent performance! Cath Clarke Guardian Deadwyler's soulful performance really grounds The Devil to Pay even as it cranks into revenge-movie mode. Rated: 2/5 Jan 10, 2022 Full Review John Sooja Common Sense Media Even though it's easy to root for the main character, Lemon, and her adorable son, some viewers may take issue with the way the politics and cultures of Appalachian Mountain communities are so violently depicted. Rated: 2/5 Feb 1, 2023 Full Review Rich Cross Starburst This first feature by co-writers and co-directors Lane and Ruckus Skye is an impressive and captivating debut.
