Audience Member Set in WWII two Kiwi commando soldiers arrive on the beach of Normandy They attempt to infiltrate a Nazi facility on the eve of D-Day But what they discover in a castle fortress is far more horrifying as a cult plans to unleash the forces of darkness to win the war Gina Varela is definitely the sexiest thing in this; she plays a deliciously, sexy dominion of Satan constantly toying with her victims by psychological and emotional means The gore and makeup effects are top notch I just wish there weren't so many gaps of needless exposition, slows down a lot of the thrills to be had It also ends on kind of a half-note But this does comment on the horrors of war seeing how good or evil can be easily swayed Even the righteous can fall hard trying to make their own destinies free of sin Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/27/23 Full Review Valerii Ege D A huge indie missed opportunity. The idea and process open many possibilities, yet the movie lost all of them in every possible way. I really like the film, but how unfortunate, it could have been better. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 09/04/23 Full Review Audience Member If you like watching long shots of empty dark corridors over and over and over, and two guys talking and talking and talking about about a girl painted in red with horns, with one of the cheesiest "demonic " voice over, this turkey is for you. Shot on a one dollar budget, This empty script is more suited for a 20 minutes episode of Tales from the Crypt, unfortunately for the audience it gets stretched out to its limits (1h 26m). If you are still conscience, you will be treated to its laughable, ridiculous, guaranteed eye rolling conclusion. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member An impressive low budget, horror, character piece in a B-movie plot and setting that deserves another chance. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/18 Full Review Audience Member Its different and in a good way. The plot is very specific and doesn't grow much through the film. The acting was pretty good. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Great plot. Decent acting. very nice. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Anthony Quinn Independent (UK) Rated: 1/5 Jul 8, 2011 Full Review Michael Hann Guardian By keeping the action confined to the tunnels and cells of the blockhouse, Campion creates a claustrophobic setting, but for all the gore and demonic transmogrification, there's a distinct lack of chills and frights. Rated: 2/5 Jul 7, 2011 Full Review Lee Griffiths Little White Lies Means well but ultimately lacks original thrills. Rated: 2/5 Jul 7, 2011 Full Review Scott Weinberg FEARnet A low-budget but well-made horror flick that earns points due to two strong leads and some slick visual effects. Rated: 3/5 Sep 5, 2011 Full Review Matthew Turner ViewLondon Rated: 3/5 Jul 9, 2011 Full Review Anton Bitel Film4 For all its gore, The Devil's Rock is an undercooked chiller, but it cleverly uses the conventional tropes of diabolism to comment on the horrors of war.
