Audience Member Underrated! I had to check this out when I saw it listed in Tarantino's top 20 spaghettis. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member At the end of the American Civil War, El Desperado steals the identity of a dying confederate soldier and sets out to steal his blind fathers fortune. What follows is spagehetti western gold. Blood, guts, torture, revenge and an unbelievable score from Gianni Ferrio. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member At the end of the American Civil War, El Desperado steals the identity of a dying confederate soldier and sets out to steal his blind fathers fortune. What follows is spagehetti western gold. Blood, guts, torture, revenge and an unbelievable score from Gianni Ferrio. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Franco Rossetti's directorial debut has a decent cast, but overall seems to be trying too hard to repeat the muddy, violent amorality of Django in general. Gianni Ferrio's score is a lesser one, with a too oft-repeated title chorus. Angelo Filippini's cinematography is great, making good use of Andrea Giordana as El Desperado. He cuts back and forth well between Giordana's expressive features and the blind eyes of Piero Lulli as the father whose dead son he is impersonating. There are some good elements, but the script is muddled, not pacey. Worth a watch, however, for genre fans. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
