Richard Whittaker Austin Chronicle A must-watch for animal lovers with a strong stomach (there is some pretty graphic surgical footage) and a stronger heart (because no one likes to see an animal suffering), The Dog Doc isn't always going to convince everyone. Rated: 3/5 Apr 30, 2020 Full Review Claudia Puig FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It's very rich with information. It's compelling -- he's very empathetic. Mar 21, 2020 Full Review Courtney Howard Variety It's the cinematic preservation of a hope-filled legacy begat by a rebel who sought to give humanity the gift of extra time with their furry, four-legged joy factories. Mar 20, 2020 Full Review Phil Guie Film-Forward.com The film seems intent on painting vaccines as a major bugbear, returning to the topic over and over in order to blame vaccinations for animals' suffering. Rated: 1.5/5 Jan 1, 2021 Full Review Karen Martin Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Described by some as a miracle worker and by others as a quack, Dr. Goldstein is known as a pioneer of integrative veterinary medicine. This focused, detailed, and artfully assembled documentary makes an earnest effort to tell us why. Oct 19, 2020 Full Review Carla Hay Culture Mix The movie is a testament that dogs and other pets are treated like members of a family. Jul 11, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member It is about time for the "strictly traditional" veterinarians to give up their professional arrogance and for the "strictly alternative" folks to realize that you can't do without traditional medicine. This movie is about a vet who combines both worlds - that's why this is called the "integrative" approach. A must-see documentary for dog and cat guardians who want to do better for their pets' health - as well as for their own. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Given that the veterinarian in the movie makes terrible medical decisions and puts animals' health on the line, this movie is disgusting. A veterinarian cringes at this movie the same way a car expert cringes at a car crusher. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews
