John Serba Decider A humane and heartfelt look at the Australian advocate’s personal experience as a trans woman. Oct 5, 2022 Full Review Nicole Ackman Ready Steady Cut Netflix documentary The Dreamlife of Georgie Stone is impressive in how much it is able to do in its short runtime. It provides a portrait of an impressive young woman who has already achieved much, though the odds were often against her. Rated: 4/5 Sep 23, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

How To H It’s a very difficult watch to see someone so badly let down by their parents. It’s tragic to see a child struggling and their issues made worse by allowing a delusion and disorder to escalate to the point of life changing surgery. If your child believes they can fly, you don’t allow them to jump from a building. This is a documentary that highlights weak parenting and reaffirming mental illness. Though the documentary attempts to present its subject matter as uplifting, it’s anything but. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/08/24 Full Review Jeff B It's a shame the documentary seemed intent on skirting along the surface. Georgie is very intelligent and complex, and the documentary didn't come close to articulating that to the audience. Uplifting montages and swelling music don't make for good film making unfortunately, even when the subject is interesting. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/13/24 Full Review Read all reviews
