Tim Robey Daily Telegraph (UK) It's consistently absorbing as well as evocative to the harsh finish, with mordant plot surprises Connolly keeps smartly tucked away. Rated: 4/5 Aug 5, 2021 Full Review Horatia Harrod Financial Times The landscape may be a tinderbox waiting for a spark, but the film - based on the 2016 bestseller by Jane Harper - fails to catch light. Rated: 2/5 Aug 4, 2021 Full Review Sheila O'Malley RogerEbert.com Part of the joy of The Dry is watching this excellent cast in action. Rated: 3/4 May 25, 2021 Full Review Mo Muzammal Vague Visages The elements of The Dry may be conventional, but the presentation, as well as Connolly’s attunement to very real concerns, still burns. Jul 27, 2023 Full Review Brandon Collins Medium Popcorn This is on the "better" end of most murder mystery films. Being set in an international place made it more intriguing and unique. Rated: 3/5 Dec 11, 2022 Full Review Justin Brown Medium Popcorn The pacing was a bit slow. The inconsistencies with some of the characters was bothersome. I wanted more out of this murder mystery. Katherine I don’t want to give anything away. As The Dry unfolds, it becomes more and more outstanding. A must see! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/12/21 Full Review Anne K Visually stunning film that introduces you to complex and unique- almost bizarre- characters. The story deftly melds an small-town mystery that has a folklore-feel with a fresh gruesome murder. Thought the score was great and really elevated the ending scenes. Also, can never go wrong with Eric Bana. There was one minor plot point at the end that didn't make sense to me, but that is probably because the film is adapted from a book. Still, a great film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/12/21 Full Review Evelyn We’ll acted and interesting Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/27/21 Full Review Susan C Great plot!
