Audience Member This is one of the most under rated movies of all time. YES, it's Communist Chinese propaganda. But, if you give it a few minutes, you'll find that some of the stuff therein is jaw dropping - the music the choreography, etc. is a spectacle that has elements of Busby Berkeley and Russian folk dancing and more modernist choreography. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member A total disappointment. Flat & boring. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member An unnecessary sequel, they should continue Ling's journey instead delivered this filler, which is quite pointless and the fights are too Dragonball style. But,Brigitte Lin still payed her role vividly and high voltage in her eyes.Extra half star for her. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member This is the third part of the China Swordsman series and it is one of my favorite movies for following reasons: It's terribly fast, never gets boring and combines all good new wave elements. It features Joey Wong, Brigitte Lin and Yu Rong Guang all in their very best shape. It still retains a trashy feeling though it's well produced. It is stuffed with crazy ideas and wild action scenes. It is extemely aestheticized, somehow comic-like, very "Tsui Hark" and has a rememberable musical score. To my knowledge it was finished in 1993 and i am convinced that anyone who watched it would be able to confirm this since such a **** didn't exist before 1993. I highly recommend this one not just because the above mentioned qualities, but because it represents the absolute peak of HK new wave cinema.
