Kevin Maher Times (UK) It’s mostly just Banderas growling, smouldering and bleeding quite a bit. Rated: 2/5 Jan 9, 2023 Full Review Wendy Ide Observer (UK) It’s thuddingly predictable stuff that limps through a plot involving nefarious sex traffickers, treachery and a liberal smearing of Miami sleaze. Rated: 2/5 Jan 8, 2023 Full Review Jordan King Empire Magazine Despite Banderas’ best efforts and some stylish camerawork, this is nothing like a good crime thriller. Rated: 2/5 Jan 6, 2023 Full Review Ronak Kotecha The Times of India Once ‘The Enforcer’ picks up pace, it manages to hold your interest pretty well. It’s the kind of action thriller that has something but not everything Rated: 3/5 Apr 14, 2023 Full Review Tom Shone Sunday Times (UK) ... This thriller is cobbled together entirely from standard crime-movie bits and pieces. Rated: 2/5 Mar 2, 2023 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall A nuanced performance from Antonio Banders adds more texture than usual for this genre, so even when things get silly, a gritty tone holds the interest. Audience Member Solid movie. Wouldn’t go to the cinema to see but I was struggling to find something so I popped this on, and it didn’t disappoint! Perfect for a john wick, the mechanic, taken etc. enthusiast like myself. Good overall plot, there is a bit of wishy washiness in there but so does every movie recently. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/14/24 Full Review Kevin B I can’t believe the bad reviews. I thought the movie was really good. Banderas definitely carried the story. I really enjoyed it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/30/24 Full Review Dave V I knew I would like it because the critics did not. Well done movie. Keeps your attention and has a good plot. I liked it and it kept me entertained. I reccomend it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/17/24 Full Review Alain M a forgettable action flick about a gangster coming into some remorse about the life he has led. Predictable but a little bit special just because Banderas is in it, Bosworth sets down a notable crimeboss, so kudos for that Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/27/23 Full Review thebrokeway It answers its own questions like the audience will be too stupid to figure it out. and nothing made sense like the kid was ready to throw away his promotion die for a guy he only went on 2 jobs with and he already crying at the end. why is Banderas not going to the hospital so he stayed bloody till the next day to drop his car off at his daughters school just to walk to the nearest beach and die..you rather give her the car and die wtf Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/28/23 Full Review Jim S It's a straight forward predictable story, recognizable with few twists; and yet this film is likeable for all of that. It doesn't try to do more than it appears to, and perhaps that's why it does it well. The cast do great job, at once cliche and rich with characterization. Everybody seems to enjoy playing their roles, respectively. The cast are comfortable to leave one another room to play. The camera work is good, imaginative. And the main cast are excellent, patient, expressive, authentic. Kate Bosworth is having a lot if fun playing a despicable criminal matriarch, pushing her portrayal close to the edge and restraining it just enough, as the consummate professional she is. Antonio Banderas lifts his character from dark and morose and sympathetically and credibly rounds him out. Alexis Ren similarly adds depth and dimension to a character that might have been just a cliche. And Mojean Aria is fascinating to watch as he ensures that his portrayal conveys a great deal more than just the contents of his dialogue. All of this indicates solid direction by Richard Hughes, so we'll done, sir! This movie is engaging. Not every movie must have a twists-and-turns plot, a grand social lesson to teach, or CGI all over every scene to be a good movie, to successfully entertain. This is a good and entertaining movie Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
