This is a crass comedy that gives new meaning to the word "sophomoric." The Entitled is a Filipino rags-to-riches/romcom that combines elements of, say, The Princess Diaries with more recent comedies that revel in gross-out humor and sex jokes.

The Entitled spends so much time trying to draw parallels between poor people and bad behavior, but films don’t need to lean on the stereotype of poor people being uncouth... the stereotypes ultimately do a disservice to telling a full, unique story.

Ready Steady Cut

The problem is that it is a cringe-comedy that wants to have its flatulence humor and not eat it too. Boborol tries to force down your throat a heartfelt narrative that is not earned.
