The Fabelmans may be slow in spots, but Spielberg's nostalgic look at his childhood will take plenty of viewers back to their own.

With all its self-awareness, its anguish and its beauty, The Fabelmans is a film that it is surely impossible not to love. Go to Full Review

Even though the film is based on Spielberg's life, it manages quite artfully to not feel too artful; it refuses to turn itself into a fable. Go to Full Review

The Fabelmans is a film that shifts something inside you. Working through one of the most crushing events of his own life, Spielberg exhorts us to discover, yet again, the enduring magic of the movies. Go to Full Review

In some ways, The Fabelmans is a movie about making The Fabelmans. It may seem counterintuitive, but the film is essentially a record of its own existence — a retelling of why Spielberg needed to create stories in the first place. Go to Full Review

critical contemporary 11/09/2024 No guts, no glory. Steven Spielberg has proven once again that he will almost for certain never be a true tour because he never really gets what’s happening in his own head. He cannot connect to the real world that said it’s also why he is one of the greatest filmmakers of all times. But this film is not his best. In fact it is one of his worst. Worst of all it’s a lie. See more ken elkgrove 03/25/2023 tom hanks great actor See more Shirley 03/15/2023 We loved that the people were real. The family was living toward each other. The drama which tore them apart happens. But, there was no hateful language or violence towards each other. We would have loved to see the later part of their lives. There needs to be a part ll made. See more rocktrim 03/14/2023 probably would have enjoyed more if i knew the backstory a little better. the movie felt like it was making the mom as the bad guy, when in fact, she was empowering them. See more Robert C 03/13/2023 One of the best movies Ive seen See more Deecie Z 03/13/2023 It was insightful to the person. I liked it. See more Read all reviews
