The film does occasionally show a pulse when it tries to re-imagine the life of the victim - when it turns the tables on the mystery and tries to become a film about love and life, instead of doom and death. But it's too little, too late, and too lame.

It really didn't take off. All looking at Face of an Angel made we want to do was reread The Divine Comedy - the film itself is a complete turkey.

There's a gripping murder mystery and the movie should have focused on that instead of the jumbled nonsense of the character's personal affairs. There are details and events that bring up plenty of questions as to who the killer was and how the murder happened but by the end, there are no real answers and it's very frustrating.

The story is interesting. I basically watched it because of Cara Delevingne's involvement in the film. But I couldn't get my full attention on the movie so yep. It is boring. Dull. And not those movies that you'll want to watch on speakers because it gets quiet for a moment because of the characters talking and next thing, you are panicking because there are moans rightafter. Bad scene transitions there.
