Ted B 3.5 stars; Okay. I tend to overrate the Falcon movie series, for the most part, because I love the simplicity of the plot and characters. There is no need to delve into the psychosis of each character or chase fake distractions. Tom Conway simply nails the role of the Falcon. He even looks the part: part detective, part debonair playboy. While the plot dialogue is quite corny in general, it perfectly suits the era of the film's release (1945). What is not corny is the mystery crime element. What I thought was really cool was the double twist ending. I had seen it before, but I thought this film did a very good job of concealing it until the very end. Another good Falcon movie in a good Falcon series. Lewis, which greatly helps the a sometimes meandering story involving the Falcon, his sidekick of the moment, and a precocious little girl in San Francisco.
