Unemployed cowboy Brick Loring (Bob Steele) prevents the robbery of a stagecoach carrying a champion boxer and his promoter, Nifty (George Chesebro). In town to turn in the bandit, Brick meets rancher Fred Mullins (Frank Ball) and his daughter, Jean (Arletta Duncan). When Fred's foreman, Jock (Charles King), expresses jealousy over Brick's interest in Jean, the men come to blows, and Brick knocks the foreman out. Seeing an opportunity to make money, Nifty asks Brick to fight Jock officially.
