Benji Wilson Daily Telegraph (UK) Drink, drugs and racism embarrass English football, and all are represented in this damning film about fans who stormed the Euro 2020 final. Rated: 3/5 May 8, 2024 Full Review Gwilym Mumford Guardian Attack on Wembley does convincingly convey the ugly, feral atmosphere around the stadium that day. Rated: 3/5 May 8, 2024 Full Review Stephen Silver The SS Ben Hecht I had a few assumptions — that hooligan-style violence was a thing of the past in English soccer and that security at major sporting venues was strong enough to withstand such a thing — but as this fine doc makes clear, those were wrong. Rated: 3.5/5 Jun 7, 2024 Full Review Danny Brogan Common Sense Media Few come out of this soccer documentary well. May 22, 2024 Full Review Leigh Paatsch Herald Sun (Australia) A straightforward, no-bulldust collection of eyewitness accounts – chillingly verified by stacks of phone footage – makes for compelling and revealing viewing. Rated: 3/5 May 17, 2024 Full Review Scott Hines Decider The Final: Attack on Wembley is a compelling portrait of how a day that could’ve been joyous turned ugly. It’s tight, well-paced, and really puts the viewer in the scene as it happened. May 10, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Steve K Great documentary, highlighting the security struggles of the 2020 final match. Does a great job of showing the breakdown of security, planning, and yet another example of the failed Covid policies that helped lead to the chaos. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/11/24 Full Review Michael W This sports documentary was really good. The entire crew did an excellent job on making this documentary about one of the worst days that occurred at Wembley Stadium. At the time, this should've been an exciting day for England, but it turned into chaos and carnage. It was a disaster waiting to happen. If you haven't seen this documentary yet, check it out sometime. It's a must see even if you're not a soccer fan. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/25/24 Full Review Marc G Just watched and honestly moved by what I’ve just seen. The story is told brilliantly, bringing a number of key personalities to life and helping us understand their differing motivations on what should have been an immensely joyous occasion. The rapid shift in emotions and behaviour through the day is frightening to witness, particularly when demonstrated through so much mobile footage. I found the pressure valve of tension at the end, the “release” when we lost and then the rise of “anger” to be so sad. But also loved the way this was then handled at the end of the programme. What a journey I feel I’ve been on. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/21/24 Full Review Matthew F A grippingly real and well delivered reflection on the ugly side of the England national team football fans. Hard to watch simply because it is so honest and brilliantly crafted. Takes you behind the scenes of a what should have been great national celebration. A must watch for all sports fans. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/19/24 Full Review Dave S Shocking but compelling watch. It’s insane how close we came to a national tragedy on a day that should have been about celebration and unity. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/19/24 Full Review Mark C Shame it only focuses on the negatives, many people had a great day out. Most of the people being interviewed are certainly not the best. Would have liked to have seen something about the operation and input from the police. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/10/24 Full Review Read all reviews
