Beguiling heroine, but when, oh when, will the French learn to actually tell a story, rather than just ramble endlessly through mundane parochial lives which lead nowhere. Tedious in the extreme.

The movie lacked soul and felt disingenuous. The characters were like, 'cardboard', and the plot line was flat. It was hard to buy into the relationships formed. The colour palette of cream, yellow, red, and green was overtly overplayed, lacking delicate subtlety of fine art. Overall, it seemed like a failed homage to French cinema.
