A dark, dystopian thrill ride with an environmental slant, "The Fix" explores identity, perception and autonomy in a frighteningly viable future. A toxic compound infects earth's atmosphere. Pharmaceutical giant, Aethera, sells immunity to those who can afford the daily dose... most can't. When an image-conscious wild child takes a new designer drug at a house party, she inadvertently becomes an unintended test subject. Pursued by a dangerous gang and authorities in cahoots with Aethera, she hunts desperately for a "fix" that will reverse the drug's effects... only to discover that her mutations could save the human race.

Laura L This was a fun "of the moment" thriller that delivers on all its promises. Elements of "Lucy" and "Resident Evil" will be fun for sci-fi action lovers wanting to venture outside standard studio fare to independent films that still offer the kind of high-octane thrills audiences have come to expect from the genre. It’s was a little confusing at points but the acting was really good with the lead roles. The director did well to maintain the continuity of the film as this could have been a difficult watch. However the story flowed well and didn’t constantly have to explain to the audience why something was happening, or why someone was behaving in a certain way, it just slowly added up as the movie progressed - resulting in a good story that dabbled with some of the themes we see in our world today. The CGI was also rather impressive. I would have like to see a little more of the full transformation. My biggest critique would be the scene in the bathroom how the boyfriend has been shot in the leg and still managed to climb to the roof and the falling scenes when the boyfriend dies.
