sue o @swanann22 16h This is a nice, thoughtful sci-fi with good acting and solid writing. I think the special effects are decent and present a believable world, which is all I ask. This is set in a dystopian future, where the air itself has become toxic. Clean air has become a commodity that is for sale to the highest bidder. The main character, Ella, is a spokesmodel for a company manufacturing a drug called AirRemedy. But is the company really working to help everyone or is it only helping the "deserving" elites? Although Ella lives in the elite, privileged part of society, she desperately wants to be seen for herself and struggles for connection. As the movie progresses, Ella begins to experience personal changes, ironically, these outer changes begin to reflect inner changes. This leaves us to consider whether other people are willing to risk changing as Ella has, in order to save the world and we can, then, extend these questions to our own world. Worth checking out! See more Jordyn A Dec 1 Just wow. Yes it is obvious the budget was not as high as other popular films- but the way the story is told is incredible. The suspense and twists were awesome. The pacing of the movie is quick from the beginning with not much lead in to the actual plot. The acting wasn’t marvelous unfortunately and while I wasn’t a fan of the mutation make up, the concept was interesting. The directors/makeup artists did some interesting things with the mutation of her ears but they covered it up with the actors hair and wish they showed their work more. How it has a high percentage I don't know it is basically a genZ movie don't think about it watch with your cell phone and say itwas good. Clancy brown its not even in the scences he shows up in hologram calls, probally didn't want anything to do with the others acting. 1hr 38min of my life wasted. See more Rick C Nov 2 The story was very mediocre. The special effects were dated at times. The ending was supposed to deliver a "twist" but it was so small and forgettable that you could have easily missed it. If you are looking for a sci-fi thriller that involves weird genetic transhumanism, I think "Splice" does a much better job and it was released almost two decades ago with similar special effects.. "Morgan" is also much more successful. "The Fix" seems like a low budget B-Grade film that would play on the SyFy cable channel in the middle of the day. There was nothing remarkable about it, but it wasn't bad per-se. Disappointing would be a better word. See more Read all reviews
