Pharmaceutical giant, Aethera, sells immunity to those who can afford the daily dose... most can't. When an image-conscious wild child takes a new designer drug at a house party, she inadvertently becomes an unintended test subject. Pursued by a dangerous gang and authorities in cahoots with Aethera, she hunts desperately for a "fix" that will reverse the drug's effects... only to discover that her mutations could save the human race.

Douglas Davidson Elements of Madness ... a story that’s equal parts class teardown, ethical quandary over the greater good, and superhero origin story through a sci-fi body horror lens. Dec 1, 2024 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film Egan spent many years in stunt work and here she gets to explore her potential as an action director. Rated: 4/5 Nov 20, 2024 Full Review Joshua Polanski In Review Online It’s renewing to see a film... that functionally challenges rather than reinforces the same paradigm it seeks to critique. Nov 20, 2024 Full Review Nicholas Brooks CBR The Fix is both a creature feature and a dystopian story of rebellion, but it fails to embrace either. K C Don't give up on this one just yet. It's far better than 'hobo with a shotgun'. Actions but not exciting. Syfy yes, sorta original. I say, if they make a second one it should be way better action and exciting. I was happy with it 😌. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/17/25 Full Review SkyRo P The Fix is some kind of sci-fi film — or at least it’s trying to be — that I stumbled across on Amazon Prime and Tubi. I decided to check it out thinking it might be interesting, or at least a bit entertaining. But honestly, it fell flat across the board. The direction is all over the place, and the acting feels completely disconnected from the story. It honestly seemed like the performers weren’t really present in their roles, and the villains were more ridiculous than scary — which made it hard to take the film seriously. The casting choices were questionable at best; you can tell the roles weren’t filled by the best people for the job. There were a lot of missed opportunities to make something good or at least fun. Instead, the story was messy and hard to follow, and many scenes seemed to come from a completely different film. There were moments that strayed far from the main plot and felt ridiculous and unnecessary. Ultimately, The Fix is a film I’d say you can safely skip. It’s a perfect example of a missed opportunity — a confusing story, weak acting, poor direction, and a casting department that seemed to miss the mark completely. There’s nothing here to recommend. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/15/25 Full Review Jay H Seems too much time telling you why they developed it, but not enough time telling you why it needed to be in the first place. 2nd half of the movie is much better than the start. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/02/25 Full Review Joe M It has potential but spent too much time dwelling on the transformation and not the story. It got better by the end and left me curious where the story might go from here. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/30/25 Full Review Tabatha S I thought it was awesome. Really wish there was more to it. A book would even be great. Either way it was interesting and kept me watching. The idea if keeping this going would be awesome. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/19/25 Full Review Robert L I don't understand the few bad Rotten Tomato reviews I've seen, shallow minds, in my estimation. I would not say The Fix is a 5 star film, but it is a good, solid movie that I enjoyed, an interesting storyline, good acting and well produced. I would definitely recommend The Fix to my sci-fi friends. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/10/25 Full Review Read all reviews
