john m Snowboard films have always been a giant part of my interest in video production and filmmaking. I haven't really gone back and watched a whole lot of them since college or high school and needed something for background pleasure in these work from home days, so I put this one on. And I couldn't take my eyes off. Sure, there's a lot of snowboarding but this is more of a diary poetically and beautifully captured by probably the best of the best DP's in this realm of filmmaking. The editing is so good it should be studied in video production classes. But mostly this is a celebrated look at the forces of nature. I kept wondering how did this group of guys get the money to do all this? I don't think the overall goal of tracking the flow of water across the globe was a success, but it made me want to go skiing and visit Japan.
