Dennis Harvey Variety Not the cleverest or most original horror comedy, Andy Palmer's indie feature is nonetheless above average within that subgenre, offering fast-paced fun for fans. Nov 16, 2015 Full Review Noel Murray Los Angeles Times The minimal story quickly devolves into one methodical murder after another - their effect blunted by the jokey tone. Nov 13, 2015 Full Review Tom Keogh Seattle Times The problem is that "The Funhouse Massacre" isn't particularly funny or scary, and if there is supposed to be an element of satire about our contemporary inability to sort out what's real from what's not, well, that falls flat, too. Rated: 2/4 Nov 12, 2015 Full Review Emilie Black Cinema Crazed ... a fun Halloween Time film with lots of kills, gore, and decent acting to go with it all. With six crazed killers, it could have easily have become a mess, but it works here. Rated: 4/5 Apr 19, 2020 Full Review Norman Gidney Film Threat If you can forgive the minor issues, The Funhouse Massacre is with your time. Rated: 6 Feb 24, 2020 Full Review Amie Simon Three Imaginary Girls With a range of maniacs that hit almost every serial killer trope and expert special F/X by Robert Kurtzman, it definitely feels like a throwback film. Audience Member Nonsense, gory, ridiculous nonsense Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/11/24 Full Review Oaklee D With cheesy gore, above average acting and lots of laughs sprinkled throughout, This low budget slasher flick is way better than it has any right to be. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/21/24 Full Review Emma L 3.5/5 A great film to watch with friends, full of gore and the odd bit of comedy. The acting was well done and I enjoyed the plot, unique, and (at a stretch) something that could happen (again at a long stretch) A film I would watch again, the atmosphere was good and it was very fast paced. I enjoy horror films that don't take themselves too seriously but are still a lil creepy. Would be great to watch with friends and a few drinks. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/13/24 Full Review Steven t A few laughs and a lot of blood. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/04/24 Full Review jonathan d Great acting all around and some fun spurts of massacre for the gory fans. The comedy felt a bit quirky and awkward at times but would definitely be more fun to watch with friends or intoxicated to shave the edge off a bit. There were some interesting concepts in the film but it felt like they could've been executed better or emphasized in some ways such as the personalities of the serial killers and their darkness. Definitely less serious of a horror movie and almost edging on the corniness of the Scary Movie franchise at times. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Shayla S Fun horror comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/14/22 Full Review Read all reviews
